Shelley, Brian and all family members,
On behalf of the Hepworth Retirees who meet monthly, I extend sincere condolences to all of you. At one time, Barb was able to join our get-togethers. We were blessed to have had Barb as a valued colleague who was truly dedicated to meeting the needs of all her students. We also appreciated her dedication and enthusiasm for all school activities. May your treasured memories of the good times spent with your mom help you get through this difficult time.

Dear Shelley and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences with your mother’s passing. Both Barry and I had the pleasure of teaching with Barb for many years at Hepworth School. We saw your mom’s love for teaching, her dedication and her kindness and commitment towards success for each and every student. For me personally, as a young new teacher, Barb was a wonderful mentor sharing her ideas and years of experience with me and we taught grade five classes for eight years together. After Barb’s retirement we were able to catch up on each other’s family news whenever she came into the school for the Wiarton Fall Fair students’ entries. Your parents were truly dedicated to all agricultural programs. Shelley, your shared celebration of your mom’s life and your writing of your mom and dad’s love and devotion to each other were beautifully and lovingly written. We hope your many wonderful memories will help to sustain you and all your family at this sad time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I was lucky enough to be in Mrs. Barfoot's grade 5 class in 1977/78. She was definitely one of the great ones!! I remember going to the farm on school trips to learn about dairy farming. I believe we met Shelley back then as well.
My condolences to the family. RIP Mrs. Barfoot
