Obituary of Margaret Miller

MILLER, Margaret passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Brightshores Hospital in Wiarton on Sunday, June 29, 2025.  Margaret Eva Ethel Miller (nee McLean) of South Bruce Peninsula was in her 89th year.

 

Proud mother of Donna Thompson (Kelly) of Lion's Head, Jackie Miller of SBP, Dorothy Miller of SBP, Bonnie Miller of Elmira and Marilyn Miller of Wiarton.  Cherished grandmother of Brooke Thompson (Tyler), Courtney Reid (Andy), Adam Thompson, Marty Thompson (Cara), Hayden Hellyer (Summer) and Clay Hellyer (Erica) and great-grandmother to Rylee, Austin and Russell.  Dear sister to Jack McLean (JoAnn) and Ralph McLean (Marie) and sister-in-law to Dorothy McLean, Dianne McLean, Sharon Anne Harris (Wayne) and Al McKillop.  Marg will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and euchre friends.

 

Predeceased by her parents James and Ethel McLean, her husband John Miller, brothers Wes McLean and Albert McLean and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law June MacDonald (Donald), Glenna Anderson (Donald), Isabel Brown (Bill), Beulah Steer (Harold), Geraldine McKillop, Marg Proctor (Bud), Eleanor Van Maanen (Lee) and Jim Miller (Eileen).

 

To honour Marg and her love of vibrant colours, feel free to wear bright coloured clothing rather than traditional dark attire! 

 

Visitation will be held at DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #586, Hepworth on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Major Mary Millar officiating.  Interment Zion Cemetery, Hepworth.  Please join the family for Marg's Celebration of Life at the Legion with lunch and music by Dave Nixon following the interment.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wiarton Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #586, Hepworth would be greatly appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.downsandsonfuneralhome.ca
