Obituary of Winifred Sage

SAGE, Winifred Veronica passed away peacefully in Wiarton Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 92 with her beloved husband Werner by her side.  She was a devoted wife to him for 47 years.  She was born in Guyana, South America but before coming to Canada she served as a midwife in England for many years.  After many years working as a nurse, she retired from the Owen Sound Hospital.  She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at Sauble Christian Fellowship, Sauble Beach on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Interment Zion Cemetery, Hepworth.  Arrangements entrusted to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth. In lieu of flowers, expressions of remembrance to the Wiarton Salvation Army or Sauble Christian Fellowship would be appreciated.
