Obituary of Henry Albert Hopkins

Suddenly at his residence in Tobermory Sunday afternoon April 4, 2010. Bert Hopkins of Tobermory in his 86th year. World War II Veteran. Member of the First Special Service Force "Devils Brigade". Beloved husband of the late Pearl Hopkins. Loved father of Harold of Vancouver, Michael of Goulais River, Patricia Hopkins of Thunder Bay, Edward and his wife Jackie of Wiarton, Wendy and her husband Mike Reid of Clavering and Jack and his wife Sharon of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren. Dear brother of Gladys and her husband Fred Wright of Allenford and brother-in-law of Ina Hopkins of R.R.#1 Hepworth. Predeceased by an infant son Thomas, his son Bob and 2 brothers; Bruce and Ray. Friends may call at the Tobermory United Church in Tobermory Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Church Friday morning at 11:00 am with Rev. Susan Shantz officiating. Memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion "Poppy Fund", Tobermory would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 290, Tobermory will hold a memorial service at the Church Thursday evening at 7:00 pm.
