Obituary of Gordon Douglas Adams

With heavy hearts and wonderful memories the family announces the sudden passing of Gord from a massive heart attack at his home in Owen Sound Thursday morning September 7, 2006 in his 59th year. His wife and best friend Beth (nee Paton) will miss him terribly as will his sons Joe (Bridey) of Owen Sound and Corey of Toronto. The grand dogs will miss a special playmate. Gord is survived by his mother Bernice Adams of Owen Sound, his sister Betty Ann Souliere (Jim) and his brother Steven (Andrea) all of Hepworth. Also survived by his sister-in-law Susan McCartney (Cliff) of Owen Sound and Margaret Williams (Skip) of Frances Lake. Missing him also are his nieces Alecia and Melissa Craig, Jaymee, Shayleen and Raven Adams and nephews, Jesse and Cody McCartney and great nieces Brooke, Hannah and Jaelyn. He is survived by several aunts, an uncle and many cousins. His is predeceased by his brother Nick and his father Charlie. Gord's ever ready smile and practical jokes will be missed by his many friends and co-workers. In keeping with Gord's wishes, private arrangements have been made. Cremation has taken place and as he requested his ashes will be scattered at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina between turns one and two. Memorial contributions in Gord's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the MRI Fund through the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth or the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre.
