Obituary of Sharon Anne Gilbert

Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton with her family by her side Friday evening December 15, 2006. The former Sharon Haley of R.R.#5 Wiarton in her 58th year. Loved wife and best friend of Cliff Gilbert. Loving mother of Bruce of Victoria, B.C., Trevor and his wife Kate of Wiarton, Joan Matthews and her husband Andrew of Owen Sound and Tammy Forbes and her husband Rick of Lion's Head. Lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren; Steenika, Lindsay, Greta and Haley. Dear daughter of Art Haley of Wiarton. Dear sister of Dorothy, Jeanette, Diane, David and Ross. Dear sister-in-law of Allan Gilbert of Wiarton. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her mother Lilly Alberta Haley. Sharon was a retired teacher from the local public schools on the Bruce, a volunteer of St. John's United Church and a member of the Purple Valley Women's Institute. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from St. John's United Church, Wiarton Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Spring Interment Colpoy's Bay Cemetery.
