Obituary of Frank Veroni
Peacefully with his wife by his side at Central Place Lodge in Owen Sound Friday evening September 30, 2011. Dr. Frank Veroni of Owen Sound formerly of Sauble Beach and Guelph in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Marion Veroni (nee Urell). Loving father of Rosemary Mulligan and her husband Brian of Cottan, Margaret Falconer and her husband Keith of Belmont, Thomas of Hamilton, Frances Bindon and her husband John of Burlington and Bernard (Tony) and his wife Karen of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Kay Veroni of Moncton, N.B. Predeceased by one brother Thomas and one sister Virginia. Frank received his elementary and high school education in Guelph. Obtained his pre-med diploma in 1950 from Prince of Wales College (U PEI) in Charlottetown. Graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in 1955. He was a long standing member of the Ontario Veterinary Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Avian Pathologists. Frank was employed with Agriculture Canada for 35 years retiring in 1989. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Tuesday evening October 4th from 7 to 9 pm. Prayers will be recited at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Owen Sound Wednesday morning at 11:00 am with Father David Reilander officiating. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Hepworth. Memorial contributions to St. Mary's Church, Owen Sound or the Salvation Army would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
