Obituary of John Olmstead

Peacefully with family by his side at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton Wednesday morning March 21, 2012. John Olmstead of RR #1 Wiarton in his 80th year. John was a retired OPP officer joining the Kitchener detachment in 1966 transferring to Wiarton in 1974 and retiring in 1992. Beloved husband of the late June Olmstead (nee Harron). Loving father of Ric and his wife Cathy of Hepworth and Rob and his wife Tracey of Brampton. Lovingly remembered by his 5 grandchildren; Tyler, Rene, Alexis, Jessica and Michael. Dear brother of Margaret White and her husband Phil of Owen Sound and Mary Thompson and her husband Elgin of London. Dear brother- in- law of Bud Harron and his wife Marj of Owen Sound, Roberta Brent of Wroxeter, Larry Harron and his wife Carol of Brampton, Darlene Humphries, Gaye Kaufman and Harold Lemon all of Owen Sound and Pat Olmstead of Walkerton. Predeceased by his brother Judge Frank (Skip) Olmstead, a sister-in-law Myrna Lemon and a brother-in-law John Brent. Friends may call at the DOWNS & SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Spring interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Hepworth.
