Obituary of Shirley Stephens

Peacefully at home with family by her side Sunday morning December 23, 2012. Shirley Stephens (nee Stearne) of Owen Sound in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Ron Stephens. Loved mother of Allyson Hibma and husband Gord, Mike Stephens and wife Barb, Rhonda Deyell and husband Todd and Jennifer Eckert and husband David all of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren; Crystal and Chris Marshall, Justin, Travis and Devin Stephens, Nicole and Josh Deyell and Mathew, Kristen and Kaitlin Eckert and 2 step-grandchildren; Kevin Hibma and Kim Wegrzyn. Shirley will be sadly missed by her loyal and loving dog "Tea Cup". Dear sister of Ron Stearne and wife Liz of Owen Sound and Virginia Byers and husband Les of Mount Forest and sister-in-law May Stearne of Saskatchewan. Also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law of the Stephens family. Predeceased by her brother Jack Stearne and her parents Stanley and Sylvia Stearne. At Mom's request a Tribute Service to honor her life will be held at the Owen Sound Legion Thursday December 27th from 1 to 5 pm. Expressions of remembrance to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
