Obituary of Nick David

Suddenly Wednesday afternoon February 29, 2012 with his family by his side at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto as the result of an automobile accident. Nick David of Shallow Lake in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Loretta David (nee Flood). Loved father of Brad and his wife June, Brian and his wife Kelly all of Shallow Lake, Bruce and his wife Pat of R.R.#1 Shallow Lake, Lorri David and her husband Peter Mudrovcic of Oakville and Michelle David and her partner Kelsey Lamont of Sauble Beach. Lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Nick will be sadly missed by his friend Alda Stewart of Rosemont. Dear brother of Mariam and her husband Charlie Jamieson of Everett, Eric David and his wife Betty of Creemore and Sheila and her husband Bill Lee of Aurora. Dear brother-in-law of Bob Flood and his wife Maralyn of Shallow Lake and sister-in-law Debbie David. Predeceased by his brother Fred. Nick and Loretta owned and operated "Loretta's Lunch & Gas Bar" in Shallow Lake for many years. Nick was a much valued employee with Shouldice Designer Stone of Shallow Lake. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Tribute Service to honor Nick's life will be conducted from the Shallow Lake United Church Monday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Spring interment Boyd Cemetery, Shallow Lake following cremation.
