Obituary of Raynard Ackert

Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Saturday afternoon July 21, 2012. Raynard Ackert of Owen Sound formerly of Holyrood in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Hilda Reid and the late Caroline Brackelsberg. Loved father of Ernest Ackert (Bonnie) of Kincardine and June Shouldice of Shallow Lake and his North Dakota family; Marlo Brackelsberg (Carolyn), Wanda Emerson (Gerald) and Ona Watkins and their families. Lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren; Jeff Ackert (Tracy), Becky Maus (Jairus), Mary Moss (David), Steve Shouldice (Mary), Mark Shouldice (Heather) and Brad Shouldice (Lyndsy), his 27 great grandchildren, numerous nephews & nieces and friend Irene. Predeceased by his son-in-law Rob Shouldice, 2 brothers; Harvey and Lloyd and 1 sister Winnifred. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Shallow Lake United Church Wednesday morning at 11:00 am with Rev. Ed Laksmanis and Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. Expressions of Remembrance to the Shallow Lake United Church would be appreciated.
