Donna and family: I know you have many fond memories of your mom to hold close to your heart to comfort you; and friends and family to help carry you through this difficult time. End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. ~ J.R.R. I met Doris, her husband Jim and daughter Judy a few months ago. I was struck by the love that Jim and Doris shared, and how they were so caring for each other. At that time, they said that it was their wish that Doris would stay in their own home with lots of family to make that possible. And with the help and love of Jim and their family, Doris got her wish. She died in her home surrounded with the love of Jim and her family. My condolences to Jim and family, Helen.

Doris along wth Jin, was a wonderfully welcoming friend to Harry and I during our stays at Sauble Beach. We were made part of their warm and friendly family and I rremember in particular the way Doris coped and enjoyed having many family members join together for special occasions. Her smile and ability to organise impressed me greatly. My sympathy goes to Jim and all the family. Parting is hard even when it has also brought a sad illness to an end. Love and peace, Irene

Dear Jim and family: How very sorry we were to hear of Doris's death and want to assure you of our thoughts and prayers at this time. We share the pain of your loss and offer our deepest condolences. Doris was a very special woman whom everyone loved. She was always a delight to be with her wonderful smile and sweet spirit. She will be missed greatly not only by you, Jim, and her family but also by her church family. We have many special memories of Doris, her warmth, her charm, her love of life and especially of you and the life that you shared together. We know how much you will miss her but we also know that when death comes to the believer our attitude is one of thankfulness to God for the wonderful promises he gives to us about what is in store for the Christian following death. C.H. Spurgeon, commenting on death for the Christian, observed that it is wonderful to have the tenement gradually taken down, and yet not to feel any trouble about it, but to know that you are in the great Father's hands, and you shall wake up where old age and infirmities will all have passed away." May God bless you, Jim, and all your loved ones in this time of loss and may He also give you comfort in knowing that Doris is in His hands and that one day you shall meet again.

Doris was one of the kindest people I have ever met. She had the best smile and loved hugging my kids. The first time I met her she made us all these amazing things (which I had never heard of before) potato pancakes! She will be missed by many people. My heart goes out to the whole family.
