Obituary of Ola Beattie

BEATTIE, Ola Jean peacefully at Lee Manor Nursing Home Sunday afternoon December 1, 2013. Ola Beattie (nee McKinnon) of Owen Sound, formerly of RR 3 Allenford, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Beattie. Dear sister-in-law of Verona McKinnon of RR 1, Shallow Lake, Florence and her husband Harvey Bailey of Guelph, Donelda Hewitson of Chesley and Albert 'Ab' and his wife Maxine Beattie of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews and by her roommate Marilyn Wyllie. Predeceased by brothers Max, Clifford and Irvine and sister Annie McKnight. Funeral service will be conducted from the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Spring interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Expressions of rememberance may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Allenford United Church, Park Head United Church or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
