Obituary of Alvin Vary

Husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Alvin Vary went peacefully home to his Lord November 30, 2013. Son of Bill and Florence (Kirkland) Vary, he was born July 13, 1928 in Sauble Beach. With great joy, Alvin married G. Irene Lambkin on May 23, 1953 with 60 wonderful years following. Alvin touched many lives with his quiet faith and gentle nature. He is survived by his loving wife Irene; children Bob (Toni) Vary, Kathy (Dave) Becker and Allen (Anna) McKnight; his grandchildren April Vary (Kevin), Ashley Vary (Brent), Kim Becker, Jonathan (Jennifer) Becker, Chris (Amber) McKnight, Anna (Mike) Sentance, Peter McKnight (Melissa) and Megan (Shawn) Miller; great grandchildren Dhani Becker and Carly and Colin McKnight; sister Erna and many nieces and nephews. Alvin is predeceased by his parents as well as his brother and sister-in-law Carl and Grace Vary. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Major Grace Young officiating.
