Obituary of Carole Gray

Peacefully at home in Hepworth on May 27th 2013 in her 76th year with family by her side. Carole was born in Brantford on October 22, 1936 to parents Benjamin Alfred Wills and Doris Pauline (Parmenter). She is predeceased by her parents and stepfather Graydon Young, her sister Marlene Wilson of California and grand-daughter Anna May Lyall Gray. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Stanley Robert Gray of Hepworth, sons Timothy James Gray of Toronto, Robert Bruce Gray, his partner Janet Lyall Gray and their daughter Katelyn Doris Lyall Gray of Kitchener as well as numerous nephews, nieces and many great nieces and nephews. Stan and Carole met in their teens and were married in Brantford, Ontario in 1957. They moved to Hepworth in 1968 shortly after Stan retired from the Canadian army. When her boys were both school age Carole began a career with the Royal Bank in Wiarton that lasted almost 20 years. After her retirement in 1993 she and Stan travelled extensively and built a cottage near Richbucto, New Brunswick. Carole was a long-time member of the St. Andrew's United Church, Hepworth and UCW as well as a volunteer with the Salvation Army in Wiarton. She had many happy times and travels with her friends in the Red Hatters. A Funeral Tribute Service to honour Carole's life will be conducted from Zion Amabel United Church, Sauble Beach Saturday afternoon June 8th at 2:00 pm followed by a light lunch. Visitation one hour prior to service. Expressions of remembrance to the Cancer Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
