Obituary of Stanley Carr

Peacefully with family by his side at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Wednesday evening March 13, 2013. Stan Carr of R.R.#7, Owen Sound in his 86th year. Stan was a prominent businessman in Owen Sound for many years and a long time member of First United Church and member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Beloved husband of Jean Carr (nee Smith). Loved father of Muriel Parkes of Owen Sound. Dear father-in-law of Doreen Lenz (Ted) of Wiarton. Lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren; Anna Parkes of Owen Sound, Steve Lenz (Iris) of R.R.#1, Shallow Lake and Graham Parkes (Dale) of R.R.#1, Berkley, 6 great-grandchildren; Melissa, Joshua, Michelle, Jeffrey, Jacqueline and Kima and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Kadence. Predeceased by his son Mervyn Lenz, 2 grandchildren; Marty Lenz and Guy Parkes, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from the First United Church, Owen Sound Monday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Spring interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
