ELLIS, N. Douglas - Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home in Wiarton Friday morning June 7, 2013. Doug Ellis of Sauble Beach and formerly of Rexdale in his 86th year. Loving husband of the late Shirley Ellis (nee Stewart). Loved father of Steven and wife Deborah of Guelph, Debra and husband Ray Leclair of Rexdale, Tim and wife Margaret of Orangeville and father-in-law of Glen Ard of Clavering. Lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren Jamie, Jaclyn and husband Matt, Rebecca and husband Mike, Christopher and wife Kristine, David and wife Ashley, Nicole and Michelle and eight great grandchildren Cameron, Nyah, Callum, Isaiah, Delia, Dyess, Corbin and Brayden. Dear brother of Frances Stark of Port Elgin and brother-in-law of Wallace Stewart and wife Lorena of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his daughter Janice Ard (1987), brothers Stanley, Lawrence, James and Ross and sister Margaret Ellis. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted from the Sauble Christian Fellowship Church, Sauble Beach Thursday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Oppertshauser officiating.
