Obituary of Jean Walker

WALKER, Jean peacefully in her sleep at her residence early Saturday morning October 26, 2013. Jean Walker (nee Jones) of Hepworth in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold 'Hop' Walker. Loved mother of Marie and her husband Bev Mole of RR 1, Hepworth, Gordon and his wife Carol of Owen Sound, Norman and his wife Mary Lee of Hepworth, Bonnie Dault of Owen Sound and Bill and his wife Michaela of Port Elgin. Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren Michael (Christie), Jodi (Chris), Trudy, Darryl (Victoria), Rory (Tamara), Tina (Troy), Kelly (Brian), Beverly (Greg), Chris (Robin), Harold (Carrie), Zach and Ben and 15 great grandchildren Cameron, Shawni, Kirstin, Dylan, Kaleigh, Anderson, Grayson, Cailyn, Reese, Emma, Victoria, Ashton, Jacob, Chloe and Jaidan as well as Dean Atchison and Murray Mole. Dear sister of Greeta 'Pete' Williamson of Wiarton, Mary Cavers of RR 2, Hepworth and Edith Lambertus of Owen Sound and sister-in-law of Lillian Currie of RR 1, Hepworth. Predeceased by her daughter, Marjorie Mole, parents Lillian (Porter) and Leonard Jones, brothers Ken, Russell, Harry 'Joe' and Arthur and sisters Dorothy 'Dot' Cole, Ruby Skinner and Marjorie Fox. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from the Zion Amabel United Church, Sauble Beach Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gerry Hofstetter officiating. Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 586 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m. Interment Zion Cemetery. Expressions of remembrance to BPHSF Wiarton Hospital, St. Andrew's United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
