Obituary of Canadina Smith

SMITH, Canadina Antonia - It is with great sadness that the family of Canadina Antonia Smith announce her passing on August 24, 2013 in her 86th year. Dina leaves behind 8 children - Connie (Rick) Barker, Diane (Merv) Martindale, JoAnn Tomori, Mary (Bob) Rodgers, Vicki (Dennis) Tomori, James (Tina) Smith, Patricia (Gary) Walmsely, Tami (Jim) Everding. Cherished grandmother of 20 and great grandmother of 15 who all had a special spot in her heart. Loved sister of Jim (Dorothy) Carere and Joe (Betty Jane) Carere. Dina was predeceased by her husband Max, son Maxie Jr., son-in-law Gary Tomori, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. At Dina's request there will be a celebration of life at the Southampton Legion on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Our Mom had an amazing sense of humour, taught us the true meaning of unconditional love and that family is the most important thing in life. Mom - We love you more! A tree will be planted in the memorial forest of the Grey Sauble Conservation Foundation in memory of Dina by the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME.
