Obituary of Alma Bernice Anderson

ANDERSON, Alma Bernice (nee Cunningham) on Thursday February 2, 2017 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Murray Anderson (2012). Cherished mother and best friend of Susan (Muma) Brown and John Hayes of Shallow Lake and James Anderson and Joanne of RR 6, Owen Sound and Elizabeth McConnell and Jim. Her greatest joy was being a devoted Nana of Matthew Brown, Jocelyn & Bryan Kazarian, Nicole and Josh Kuzdak, Melissa Brown and Eric Bailey, Travis and Hilary Anderson and Lucas & Cory McConnell. Proud great grandmother of Liam, Amelia, Jaida, Turner & Kylo. Dear sister of Eileen Whittaker, Roger and Keith Cunningham. Predeceased by her parents Olive and Imri Cunningham, sisters Grace Hindman and Ruby Jacques. Nana enjoyed her 30 year career in hairdressing and then at 50 decided to pursue her desire for nursing and became a PSW. She volunteered at the hospital in Ambulatory care for 10 years, worked diligently with the Sydenham Agricultural Society, Judged at Fall Fairs, and was a skilled quilter and knitter. She will be best known for her ability to jump right in and help whenever needed. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Shallow Lake United Church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
