Dear Bonnie, Andy and Family. Wayne and I wish to extend our deepest condolences for the loss of your Mom. 'Nien' was a very special lady and I was happy to know her for several years and to enjoy our get togethers. Nien touched me with her kind personality and sense of humour. We had many meaningful chats, especially reminiscing about her life in the Netherlands. A few years ago I visited regions throughout Holland that she recognized and lived and shared a variety of photos and experiences together. Her face would brighten whenever we chatted about the history and culture of her 'old country'. I was grateful to Nien for spending time with me having taught several lessons and provide conversation in Dutch to brush up on the Dutch language. Nien's language lessons certainly made it easier to correspond with family members during my visit in the Netherlands. We will all miss Nien very much with her smiling, positive, intelligent and resilient personality. She will be remembered fondly in spirit and will be welcomed in heaven to join with her husband Hank and son Wytz. We are thinking about you Bonnie, always admiring your kind care and love given to your Mom over the years that I know she cherished and appreciated with all her heart. Prayers to you and your family. Rita & Wayne VanderLee Landen.
