Obituary of Ray Kirkland

KIRKLAND, Ray peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, Wiarton Thursday evening April 25, 2019.  Ray Kirkland of Sauble Beach in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of the late Shirley Kirkland (nee Underwood).  Cherished father of Jim and his wife Barb, Jay and his wife Beckie and Jeff and his partner Lori, all of Sauble Beach.  Loved grandfather of Kathleen, Kyle, Joe, Clasey, Jayleen and Darby and great grandfather of Leo and Luca.  Dear brother-in-law of Walter 'Watt' Rodgers of Southampton, Ruth Ann Clement (Ron) of Elmira, Ron Underwood (Marilyn), Cathy Trelford (Max), all of Port Elgin, Connie Maksymyk (Andrew) of Southampton.  Predeceased by parents Elizabeth (Dobson) and James Kirkland, brothers Don (Jean) Kirkland and Ralph (Marie) Kirkland, sister Jean Rodgers, brother-in-law Bill (Pat) Underwood and sister-in-law Leola Wark.  Family and friends are invited to the Sauble Beach United Church on Monday April 29th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the Church on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.  Spring interment Zion Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth  Expressions of remembrance to the Sauble Beach United Church or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.downsandsonfuneralhome.com
