Mrs. Davidson was my teacher at Derwent Public School from Grade 3 to 8. I have many great memories of those years from classroom lessons for 8 grades, class trips, Christmas Concerts, school, picnics, baseball games with the 5th school, film days on Fridays, arbor day just to mention a few. Mrs. Davidson encouraged me to believe in myself as a lifetime learner. As a part time university student I found myself sitting beside Mrs. Davidson in class. She asked to borrow my notes from a missed class......I felt like I was back in great 3 handing in my work to be checked. Because of Mrs Davidson influences l went on to a career in teaching. I will always remember her kindness, she has always been my favourite teacher. She will be missed, my brother and I still talk of her and our great times at Derwent.
