With his family by his side at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton Friday morning August 21, 2009. Walter Legate of Shallow Lake in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Ruth Caudle. Dear father of Don Bennett of British Columbia, Kristi and her husband Kris Walpole of Port Elgin, David Legate and his partner Crystal of Kitchener and Ashley Legate and her partner David of Wiarton. Lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. Step-father of Marsha and her husband Tony Hardman of Mar, Eloise Caudle of Kitchener and Lyla Caudle and her husband Phil of Kitchener. Dear brother of Darlene and her husband Jim Wilkinson of Owen Sound, Garry and his wife Marg of R.R.#3 Owen Sound, Betty and her husband Doug Clifford of Waterloo, Bonnie Jones of Hepworth, Bill of Kitchener and Randy and his wife Chris of Shallow Lake. Dear brother-in-law of Bruce McComb of Shallow Lake, Lyla and her husband Cliff Charlton of R.R.#3 Hepworth and Betty Charron of Chatham. Predeceased by 2 brothers; Don and Wayne Drennan. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from Zion Amabel United Church, Sauble Beach Monday morning at 11:00 am with Rev. Gerry Hofstetter officiating.
