I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Ann and the family in Ron’s passing. My parents Loyd and Jean McNabb were neighbours of the House family for several years. I was very fortunate to be able to spend time with mom and dads neighbours over the years and my heart is still there in beautiful Oliphant. My thoughts are with you.

We are sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Ron's infectious laugh and bright smile will be dearly missed in our neighbourhood. We fondly remember Ron's pop-ins to catch up on Al's activities in the garage and our get toghethers where we shared many vacation stories and laughs.
Healing thoughts to you and the family during this most difficult time.

Very sorry for your loss. Many fond memories growing up with your family in Etobicoke and South Oliphant. Seeing as our houses and cottages were only a short distance away we got to spend some great times together. I remember all the Christmas Eves together and the New Years Eve parties. I remember when both our families went out fishing together by your cottage and the motor in our boat broke down and Ron ended up towing us back to shore, which we were most grateful for. I also remember Paul and I helping Ron rip apart your front deck on the old cottage, which was great fun for a couple of 12 year olds. I also loved one of Ron's sayings when something wasn't going quite right - Well, aint that a sow. It always made me laugh. I was also grateful for all the great Champion Motor Grader baseball caps Ron would give me. One of them even blew off my head as a kid and went under a streetcar on the Lakeshore and my friend Russell Purdy and myself chased after it, only for it to be spit out a few blocks later with its peak ripped off. LOL
Ron will greatly missed, but we will always have all our fond memories.

Many fond memories of visiting Ron and family near the Lakeshore. I remember Ron's soft spoken voice, his love of family and great vacation stories from the Dominican. His soft spoken voice and laughter will remain with us forever. Our Sincere condolences to Ann, Lynda and Paul.
He's probably catching up and enjoying a Rum and Coke with Harold , Sandy by his side.

Dear Ann, Ted and I send you our deepest sympathy. I met you and Ron in 2007 when we made the move to the DR. Ted had known you for more years than I, but the thing I can tell you is how much we both enjoyed sharing winter conversations. Ron & I had a few things in common and it was always a pleasure sharing stories with him. His smile was always bright and now heaven is sharing it as he will be watching over you for always.
All our prayers for your family in this sad time!

When Pam and I would arrive at Oliphant the brightest part of getting there was when Ron would come over and say "Well howdy stranger!" with a smile and some cheerful conversation to catch up on the latest news. He was a great neighbor, a great friend and a truly great guy. It was my good luck to have him as a friend for sixty years and we will miss him always.
