Obituary of Jeanne Walker

WALKER, Genevieve 'Jeanne' - With sadness, love and profound gratitude, the family of Jeanne Walker (nee Solomon) of Oliphant and formerly of Kitchener-Waterloo, announce her sudden passing in her 95th year at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound, on Wednesday morning, January 19, 2022. Beloved wife of the late George Walker (pre 2012).  Cherished mother of Cathy Grant (Stephen) of Baden, Dr. Ross Walker (Judith) of Kingston and Cameron Walker (Dr. Jacqueline) of La Grange, Illinois.  Much loved grandmother of Andrew, Emily Rees (Darcy), Fraser, Allison Greer (Patrick), Elizabeth (Nick), Jamieson and Katie (Joel) and great grandmother of Lawson Greer and Lily Rees, as well as Hannah Jeanne and Parker Greer (born March 24, 2022 who Jeanne was so looking forward to meeting).   Dear sister of Ted Solomon (who passed on April 9, 2022).  Predeceased by parents Josephine (nee Zych) and Lawrence Solomon, brothers Joseph, Stanley, John and Carl and sisters Helen Krulicki and Mary Wolek.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Sauble Beach United Church on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m with visitation and luncheon to follow. All those attending are encouraged to wear a mask. Interment Balsam Grove Cemetery, Oliphant.
