McEACHERN, Verna Isabel

August 16, 1953 - September 12, 2022

 

It is with sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Verna on September 12, 2022.  She is survived by her long-time companion Jerry Dunlop of Meaford, sisters Lynda Kinner of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Donna Deslaurier of Owen Sound, sister-in-law Linda McEachern of Cambridge, niece Kristen McEachern (Dan) of Owen Sound, nephew Joseph McEachern (Alana) of Listowel, niece Valerie Reynolds (Brad) of Cambridge and niece Julie McEachern (Cameron) of Kitchener.  Predeceased by parents Hazel (nee Barfoot) and Donald McEachern and brother Don/Malcolm McEachern.

 

Verna was a long-time and faithful sister of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies. Living by their motto 'To live peaceably, do good unto all, as we have opportunity and especially to obey the Golden Rule, whatsoever ye would that others should do unto you, do ye even so unto them'  She also enjoyed being a member of the local Red Hat Society.  Loving the fun and friendship this group of women provided.

 

The funeral service will be conducted at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.  Everyone is invited to share memories at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 383, 86 River Street, Tara immediately following the interment.  Expressions of remembrance to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
