Donna was my loving aunt who I will miss dearly. She would always call every birthday and celebration to wishing me the best and I will never forget these calls. Often my Mother Mary, brother David and his wife Trish would be in attendance and we would each take turns talking to her. I remember trips up to Donna and Tommy's cottage up in Red Bay Ontario and we would pick up fish at her fish shack before heading back to Scarborough. We had conversations at the dinner table when she would return from work and it was nice to be together with Donna and Tommy. She had a memory that was unbelievable, she could remember birthdays, phone numbers, anniversaries and anything you could think of. She will be missed rest in peace Donna, you are with Tom now.

I worked with Donna at Clarkson and Gordon. She was a beautiful person to be around and I have lots of good memories of our years together there. Donna never missed a birthday or holiday without calling to catch up and have a chat. My husband Danny and I send our deepest sympathy to Donna’s family.
Rest in peace dear friend

Donna has been a Inspiration in terms of marriage. You see Donna and tommy was A match made in heaven. and so she reminds me of weeping willow. Weeping willow, with you're tears running down. Why do you always weep and frown?. Is it because Donna left us today?. Or is it because Donna could not stay?. Donna found shelter in our shade we thought her laughter would never fade
on her journey she will go do we long for the happiness that the day will bring?. Weeping willow stop you're tears, for there is something to calm you're fears. If you think death has ripped us forever apart I know She'll always be forever in all our hearts. love you Aunt Donna say hi to Ronnie,Tommy,And granddad grandma in witch I never meet ect rest of family I guess we will all meet again one day

I worked with Donna at Clarkson, Gordon back in the early '70s, and during that time Donna forged a lasting bond with the people she worked with. She stayed in contact with her co-workers for the rest of her life. She knew I was a former student of the Classics and would telephone me every March 15, opening her call with the phrase "Beware the Ides of March." This continued for about half a century, and was always one of the highlights of the year, as we could go on for an hour or so at times, talking about our lives and reminiscing about our shared time in Toronto. She kept in touch with as many of her former co-workers as she could, and would always relay any news of them.
Her calls on my birthday and on the Ides of March were always a delight.
Students of the Classics regard the Ides of March as an ill-fated day. Now they will be quite a bit bleaker.
Love to Donna, and all her friends and family,
Jim & Pat Armour

On behalf of myself Barb McDermott and my sister Janice Tulk (we are the daughters of Kay McDermott (nee Blakelock) and Tommy's dad Sidney was our uncle (our mom's brother) we wish to express our sincerest condolences on the passing of our dear cousin Donna Blakelock. She was a rare soul indeed who had the "gift of conversation" could make you laugh and smile as she recounted a story and whose soul was filled with light and love. Donna was so very kind and friends and family were precious to her. I think it was her life's mission to cultivate and nurture these relationships and she did such a superb job!
We are thinking of all of you and sending our prayerful thoughts during this most difficult time of loss.

When my parents first bought the Red Bay property in 1966-ish (Donna would know exactly!), Bob Morin introduced us to Donna and Tom. From that day forward, they were family, always welcome and included in everything. There wasn't a time in need or fun that they wouldn't show up for us, and we did the same in return. They were there to celebrate all of our highs and lows with my parents, me and Vern, our children, our grandchildren, and even our pets! There's so much more that we could say, a lifetime of togetherness and memories. Donna will be missed so very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Donna's family and friends.
**The last photo is Donna with our dear friend, and former Red Bay neighbour, Peter Oleksiuk.

The first photo is one that Donna absolutely treasured of her wee self with a head full of curls.
The second photo is with one of their loved furry kids.
The third photo was Donna's first Christmas in her beloved Wiarton house, owned by Ken Marchand who was more dear friend than landlord.
**We relied on Donna to know the dates for everything. We won't even venture a guess!

Donna and "Uncle" Tom were neighbours and friends of Bob and the whole Martin family since their first days in Red Bay (1970? Donna would know the exact date!). From the moment we met, they were more than friends, and became family by choice. They brought love and enthusiasm to every gathering; the only ones they missed were when they were travelling to family, friends, or Niagara Falls. Donna became even closer to us (if possible) when she was on her own. They both leave giant holes in our lives that are full to overflowing with memories, laughter and love.
Our sincere condolences to Donna's family and friends.
P.S. This photo was on our wedding day, Jan. 8, 1997, when Donna and Tom stood with us. They both shed more tears of joy than the bride and groom. xoxoxoxo

I knew Donna from Howell's Fish. When we became friends, I used to visit her at the house. I always brought my two dogs as she loved seeing them, and they loved her. They would jump up on the bed and cuddle with her. I will miss Donna so very much.

Donna & Tommy were our neighbours for many years at Red Bay. They were always over to visit our dogs which brought so much joy to them. Donna eventually adopted a couple of our dogs. Her next greatest joy was working at Howell’s fish & meeting & visiting with her many clients. RIP Donna, now you will be reunited with Tommy. Burt & Barb Liverance

Donna and I grew up together. We were classmates all through public school, we played together, attended Sunday School/Church together. We also sang in the Junior and Senior Choirs. Donna was 20 days older than me. She was always quick to remind me to obey my elders, and of course her being my elder was to obey her. Donna always phoned me on my birthday, Christmas and New Year's. I will truly miss those calls. RIP Donna.
