I was so sorry to hear of Harold's passing and could not make the funeral. Many decades ago our families used to connect when we were growing up in Wiarton and our Noble cousins in Shallow Lake.
I remember Harold so often for his quick wit and engaging smile..and Grace and I used to have a great time in spirited repartee
So sorry for your loss..a true gentleman
Bill Cheshire, cousin of Grace ( my mother, Delena and Kathleen were sisters)

It is with the sincerest sadness that I send my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I know the cherished memories of a wonderful man, husband, and father will bring you comfort. I always appreciated the interest he showed or the time he found for you. This meant a lot to a shy kid growing up. I just think that's who he was. So proud to call him my Uncle Harold.

Grace and family:
I am out of the country and not able to pay a personal visit to Harold's visitation or funeral. Please accept my sincere condolences on his death. He was a true gentleman and I always enjoyed the times he visited City Hall Manager's and Mayor's office. May the wonderful memories you all have of Harold, bring you comfort in the days ahead. With only the fondest of memories will I remember one of the kindest, and open hearted men I had the pleasure to call my uncle. I only ever saw him smile and offer his generosity and home to me and my family from the time I was a toddler to the time I was a father myself. The good lord saved a front row seat for him and I know he is surrounded with love. I will miss him dearly and offer my condolences to my favourite Aunt Grace, Greg, Mary, Tim and David and all of the extended Gard family as I know the world lost a special man.

I remember Uncle Harold as always smiling. He was a very caring and non-judgmental man and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Thinking of the family at this time, it is a very surreal experience, but God gives us strength and comforts us. Harold will be smiling bigger than ever now in the presence of his King. Praise God for his faith and knowledge that a place has been prepared for him in his father's house.
