Cherie and Kym and families, We first met your Mom through curling. She took us under her wing and introduced us to the members. We curled with Jen and Lloyd in several Groundhog spiels. They made us feel right at home, and so started many enjoyable years at the Wiarton curling club. She also made appearances at Fiddlehead resort during Christmas gatherings for our family. She thrilled the kids as Santa’s Elf. Jen you will be missed. Thanks for the great memories. John & Donna

Telling things to keep us laughing and enjoying the show!! Jen is a treasure for her family and all those who knew her! She will be missed. Patty O’Regan

Cherie, Ted, Kym, Paul and families: with heavy hearts we send our thoughts and prayers and love to you all in the loss of your beautiful Jen. Jen has to be the most positive person we have ever had the privilege of knowing. Always smiling, laughing and then conjuring up some kind of foolishness, yes, that was your Jen. No matter what errand she was running or where she was headed next she always made time to speak with you. Always so uplifting. Jen never knew what it was like to have a bad day because she simply always saw a positive side.
Rest In Peace sweet Jen, in His everlasting kingdom.
“ I think it is lost….but nothing is ever lost nor can be lost.” The body sluggish, aged, cold, the ember left from earlier fires shall duly flame again. Walt Whitman

When I think of Jen, a few words come to mind: positive, energetic, hardworking, tenacious, and matriarch. Jen had an incredible work ethic and always looked at life from the bright side. She always took the time to talk to people and listen to their stories; very humble and genuine in her approach. I have great memories of Jen from all my time spent growing up with the Jacob family - and I can still see her contagious smile and hear her infectious laughter. Jen has left an incredible legacy and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Wishing all those touched by this incredible woman continued strength in the days ahead. Sincerely, Jenna Malhotra (Urbshott)

Cherie, Kym and families. The loss of your mom on this earth is definitely heavens gain. Jen was 1 of a kind, a beautiful soul, kind hearted, always a smile on her face and just full of so much life. When she was in a room there was so much joy and fun created by her wonderful sense of humor. We have so many great memories of Jen at the curling club. She never ceased to amaze us with her creativity. She is now in heaven and is spreading the joy up there too. Lloyd and so many will be glad she has arrived and I am thinking she will have used that magic and arrived in style like no others. Thinking you you all at this most difficult time.

Hi Cherie, Kim and families, It is with heavy hearts that Allan and I send our sincere condolences. We've lost a beautiful, quick-witted,funny and talented lady, and a wonderful friend who we will miss. Jen loved life, her wonderful, devoted family, and her many friends.
The first time I met Jen was at the TOPS Club in Wiarton. Then Allan and I met Lloyd and Jen at the Curling club.Allan and I had just moved back to Wiarton from Welland in 1979. Even we didn't know Lloyd and Jen well, we asked them to go to a curling game in Welland with us. That started our wanderings. Together we visited several States, Hawaii, Alaska, The British Isles, Portugal, The Bahamas, Panama, a Carribean Cruise, and twice to Cuba. When our husbands went North to hunt, Jen and I would go south to the North Eastern States. The first time we went south, neither one of us had put gas in the car or booked a room at a motel. We sure learned in a hurry. We took a small campers stove with us and had picnic meals inside.
We have alot of great memories, which are full of funny incidents and laughter that also included a lot of touring because we didn't want to miss anything.
Love, Allan and Sandra Johnson.

Dear Jen's Family,
My mom Nancy and myself were very sorry to learn in the Owen Sound Sun Times the very sad news that Jen passed away! I have great memories of when Jen ran the old Loyd and Jen store out at Oliphant! I loved going into the store out in Oliphant many times through out the summer to see Jen! My mom Nancy and dad Rob bought me a creamsicle!
Jen used to call me her creamsicle kid!!! This was when I was between around four and six or seven years old! At age fifty one Jen still referred to me as her creamsicle kid but often kidded me that I maybe didn't eat as many creamsicles as when I was little!
I will keep you all Cheri and Kym and all of your family in my prayers during this very sad time! I am going to miss seeing your mom around! With much sympathy on behalf of my mom Nancy and myself , Sincerely, Christina Watson!

To Kim, Cherie and families… we are so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was most definitely “one of a kind”,.. she made everyone feel welcome and always had a funny quip to add to a conversation. I will always remember her very sage advice to me as a newcomer to the area. I always secretly thought that she was some famous person hiding out here on the peninsula because she just didn’t “fit the mould” of quiet country folk…and she absolutely howled with laughter when I told her that. But you girls certainly take after her for sure…. Again our sympathy to you. Mary & Brian Hughes

Dear Kym, Cherie and families,
It is with deep sadness that I have just learned of the passing of your mom, grandmother and 'great in every way' grandmother.
I always admired Jen and one of my favourite honours while MPP was delivering her milestone 90th birthday greeting and being able to share part of her special day.
She truly was a shining light in our community and her energy, enthusiam and 'theatre' of living was infectious. She will be truly missed.
Regrettably I have work commitments out of the area on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am going to try to juggle my schedule in order to pay my respects in person, however if unable, please be assured I will be there in spirit and send my heartfelt prayers and wishes to family.
Sincerely,
Bill Walker
